Orihuela Costa can boast that there are six Blue Flag status beaches, three of which 3 have Quality status, making these beaches amongst the best in the World.
Q for Quality is recognised Internationally as the highest award which can be given to beaches, meaning they have passed a multitude of tests and are among the best in the World. The three beaches with Quality status are, Cala Capitan, Cala Estaca and Playa de La Glea.
Orihuela Costa holds four blue flags and eleven "Quality" flags and is the resort tohold most flags in the whole of the Valencian Community. Security and vigilance are requirements of the quality status.
