To the south of Torrevieja approximately 10km, lies the white and sandy beaches of Playa Mil Palmeras, Costa Blanca, Spain. Where you can relax and enjoy yourself on one of the sun loungers under a sun shade that can be rented or if you fancy you can hire either jet skis or pedallos’. When you need to replenish your thirst or hunger, you can sit and watch the world go by at any one of the beach and snack bars. Playa Mil Palmeras is a great beach to spend the day with your family or friends having a picnic or Spanish tapas on the beautiful Mediterranean beach. During the evenings, the local Spanish community alongside the Europeans that have settled here enjoy their time eating and dancing in the many Spanish restaurants situated close to the beach or you can sit on the roof / solarium of the fantastic restaurant next to the beach sipping a glass of Spanish ‘vino tinto / blanco’ (red or white wine) or ‘una cerveza’ (Spanish beer) wonderful!!! Not forgetting the Flamenca Shows in the town of Mil Palmeras near the bank.

Mil Palmeras dates back to Roman Times, but like most areas on the coast of Spain, the present town was built approximately in the 1980’s. It is known that in the Mediavel era, the Arabs/Moors invaded this coast, which is why so many of the beautiful older ‘casa’s are built in the Moorish style in Spain. The area is so open, spacious and healthy that it is being developed to accommodate those that want to live in the healthiest area in the world amongst Spanish inhabitant
