World Hospice Day Events 2007
Sweet Charity experienced the most successful week of fundraising and awareness to date. The final balance filled the Charity account with more than 10.000 € as a result of 5 major events. These monies will help secure the services of the Angel Nursing network of another 6 months.
The amount of terminal illness in our community is overwhelming.
The need for our Hospice Home Care Service is obvious. Our nurses and carers are presently assisting 12 families throughout the community. We are presently covering Pilar de la Horradada in the south to La Marina in the north. We also attend families inland as far as Albatera right down to the coast.
Without the help of our fundraising efforts this service would not be possible. Sweet Charity would like to thank all those wonderful people who were organisers, artists, and the attending public that made our fundraising week so successful, You have helped to secure our future. Thank You!
Sweet Charity receives NO funding from the Spanish Health Authorities. If you were unable to attend our events please find the time to attend any one of the up coming events that are being produced in aid of the SCHF. Or - You can send a donation to:

Nov 2, 3, 4th This is Spain Expo at the Thalaais Hotel in San Pedro every day from 10 - 6pm Visit our stall
Nov 3rd An audience with Cathy Carson at the Asturias 7:30 pm - 8 €
Nov 4th Raquel Peña Flamenco Rojales Theater 5 pm - 10 €
Nov 22 Coffee Morning in La Marina with guest Claire Gale
Nutricionist and allegy analyst -testing 3 € all for SCHF
La Marina Community Centre 10 :30 am - 1 pm
December:
Dec 9th Light Up a Life and X-Mas Christmas Fayre in La Marina. La Marina Community Centre 12 noon to 6 pm - with performances by the Status Quo Tribute, Helen O´Grady Drama Academy, Cathy Carson and mince pies, spiced wine, angel candles, Carol singing and more Even Santa !!! 5 €
Dec 16th Light up a Life Celebration in San Miguel at Cheers Bar with mince pies, spice wine, Angel candels, Starlight Academy of the Performing Arts, carol singers and more. 5€
Dec 25th Christmas Day on the Beach at La Zenia and La Marina begins at 12 noon. Bring food / Drink / and good spirits!
